Box Score
- 00 - 06 - 00 - 14- 20

- 00 - 03 - 07 - 00- 10

PITTSBURGH, PA

It was over when...
With just 1:28 left Dennis Dixon hooked up with Mike Wallace on a 30 yard touchdown to make the score 13-10 but... The Bengals drove back to the Steeler 30 yard line adn with 35 seconds left Joe Burnett picked off Carson Palmer... to add insult to the loss Jacquizz then ran an outisde run and took it 55 yards to put them to bed 20-10.

Game Ball
James Farrior had 6 tackles and 2 interceptions, one of which was early in the first quarter in the endzone.... Mike Wallace had 7 receptions for 147 yards including the game winning 30 yard touchdown catch.

The Steelers travelled to wet encounter against the Cincinnati Bengals, in which was a must win game as the Steelers would move 3 games ahead of the Bengals if they had won in which they did.

In typical rivalry games this one was a close one as the Steelers took the leads through field goals only to give up a 6-3 lead with a fumbled punt in the endzone costing a touchdown.

In this game the Steelers with Ben Roethlisberger getting injured again Dennis Dixon led the team down the field to end the Bengals hopes of winning as he connected on a 30 yard touchdown pass to Mike Wallace with just 1:28 left. That wasn't the end though far from it.

The Bengals bounced back and found themselves on the Steelers 30 yard line. With just 25 seconds left Carson Palmer the most overrated Quarterback on Madden this year threw an interception to stand in Cornerback Joe Burnett for the victory. The Steelers wanted more as Jacquizz capped off the win with a 55 yard touchdown run.

The Steelers win and progress to 4-0 the first time since the 1978 season.

Baltimore are looking for Revenge

Baltimore are looking for revenge, The 2008 Baltimore Ravens started off their 2010 season with beating the Steelers at home in the season opener on sunday night 24-18 and started the season 6-0 before losing 2 games, then winning two games then losing two games until they finished up 11-5. They led the AFC North until the Monday Night Clash when they travelled to Pittsburgh and lost 12-24 which meant they not only finished second in their division by losing 1 more game than the Steelers, they also missed out on the opportunity of having the #2 seed missing out on the wildcards and possibly playing at home till the Super Bowl.

Ray Lewis said it hurt "We went 4-2 in our division they went 2-4 we both went 4-0 against NFC opponents, this is why divisional games really matter" Their loss to Pittsburgh also looked quite hurtful on paper although the Bengals were eliminated in week 16 in the playoffs they finished 10-6 just one game behind the Ravens which meant they quite possibly of not gone to the playoffs.

Expect a low scoring hard hitting game as the Ravens will try to give Pittsburgh it's first loss of the season.

PITTSBURGH, PA

It was over when...
Trailing by 2 points with just 40 seconds left a Jacksonville Jaguard conceded pass interference on Santonio Holmes which set up a 8 yard Dennis Dixon run to seal the game with a last second field goal from Lones Seiber.

Game Ball
Lones Seiber was clutch as he hit 5 field goals to aide the Steelers in their win against the Jaguars including a last second Field Goal.

After a grulling contest against the Baltimore Ravens the 5-0 Pittsburgh Steelers travelled to Jacksonville for another defensive encounter in which they eeked out with a last minute penalty that cost the Jaguars the win.

The Jaguars started the second quarter on a 70 yard touchdown sneak by Matt Cassell as surprising as it is he outran Lawrence Timmons to the endzone and at halftime the Jaguars led 14-6.

With help from Jacquizz Rodgers the Steelers managed to move the chains effectively but had to settle for field goals as their passing attack was not their as Dennis Dixon completed less than 48% of his throws.

It came down to the last minute in which a costly penaly might of the Jaguars season as they fall to 2-4 and 4 games behind the Colts and 3 against the Titans.

Lones Seiber had difficulty last season kicking field goals as he completed 36 of 47 field goals but this year he has steadily improving hitting 16 of 16

When Santonio Holmes left with a game injury, it was that much harder to pass.

PITTSBURGH, PA —

It was over when...
With the Steelers trailing 27-14 with 6 minutes left on 4th down and 16, on a special teams trick Saftey Bryan Evans dropped a pass on downs to give the Texans back the ball and get one more field goal to wrap the game up.

Game Ball
Houston Texans Running Back DeMarco Murray nearly broke the 100 yard rushing mark against the Steelers gaining 93 yards on 19 carries, although he did not go in for a touchdown he had consecutive ground gains of 16, 30 and 13 yard gains.

Quick Take

Sam Cooke's song "A Change is Gonna Come" played on a continuous loop in the Houston Texans' locker room, providing the musical score for a groundbreaking win.

The Steelers got of to the best start the franchise has ever seen going 6-0 but it also showed one of the worst performences as they got shut out in the second half and gave up big plays.

Janoris Jenkins allowed Kevin Walter 5 receptions for 100 yards which proved to be the difference as they scored late in the third putting the game in favor of them and the Steelers unbeaten season in jepoardy.

But this day was the Texans day as they eliminated the Steelers passing game, although in rainy conditions Dennis Dixon completed 75 percent of his passes and a touchdown the Steelers opted to pound the rock in rainy conditions.

The Steelers didn't even manage to get into the redzone. This game will soon be forgotton.

In next weeks Bye for the Steelers if the Colts win they will face the Steelers and both will have same records of 6-1 and will fight it out for top place in the AFC Conference.

Mike Tomlin Bye Week Press Conference

Hi Mike, can you give us the current situation on the injury of Ben Roethlisberger
He should be ready to go against Indianapolis, were fortunate enough to have week off at this point of the season to heal him futher, he's listed as probable for this weekend.

Back earlier in the season Hines Ward broke his collarbone, Mike Wallace has stepped in how has he done
Hines is someone your bound to miss evidently our passing attack has not been as great when he's not been around his veteran leadership has been missed we've managed to win games through the talent we have on this team, We have 7 Lombardis because we worked hard as a team. Mike has done a job we expected him to do he's been a reliable downfield threat and clutch third down guy, he's always eager to start and has done pretty well this season.

An injury update on Hines Ward?
He's listed as questionable. Game Time decision.

The Steelers have the number #1 defense on coverage but yet are near bottom in the league in sacks, this happened during 2009 but they were one of the leaders in team sacks in 2010, now it might become a pattern
I don't see it that way, as long as we are preventing touchdowns then we are doing the job properly, James Harrisons 25 sacks last year was best in Steelers history i don't believe that will be broken in some time and LaMarrs 19 was a nice milestone.

Last Years successful Super Bowl run left James Farrior comtemplating on retirement, despite critics who flamed him for not retiring your thoughts
Obviously he is an oustanding player he leads our team in tackles by more than half of what #2 has, he also leads in interceptions he's having a good year, i trust in him if he thinks he has enough left in the tank.

The Media are lashing out at Ben Roetlisberger for now being a liability on injuring himself, Dennis Dixon has nearly played more games than him in the last 3 seasons, including the 2010 seaosn where he took the team on his back
Dennis Dixon is a great Quarterback, it's not surprising he has a career rating in the 90's his body of work which he displayed in Oregon has continued in the NFL and will no doubt continue. Ben's our Franchise guy obviously, our line has had troubles but has got better and better, most of our line has been going to the Pro Bowls, Sometimes Ben gets injured, he had a bruised shoulder and we decided to rest him for future team benefits, if that means starting Dennis Dixon in example week 12 against Baltimore, then that will happen. We want him healthy for the Post Season.

Mike, Your thoughts on the Colts
There a good football team i believe there not only doing well on offense but are ranked #3 on defense, their team is good it went undefeated in 2009 following up a 7-0 start before going 11-5. There a good team and i expect it to be a low scoring game.

It was over when...
With 4 minutes remaining the Steelers hit a 26 yard field goal home to seal the deal against the Colts.

Game Ball
Jacquizz Rodgers carried the ball 19 times for 146 yards which included a 24 yard run.

Quick Take

When Pittsburgh needed help the most unlikeliest rookie to be a star was Jacquizz Rodgers the 3rd string running back out of Oregon State.

The Steelers needed to exploit the Colts rushing defence to win in which they did so with Rookie Rodgers after Mendenhall went out with an injury.

The Steelers then used a double headed monster in Jacquizz Rodgers and Isaac Redman who combined for near 200 yards.

At half time the Steelers out gained the Colts of 281 yards of total offense to 119. This included 96 yards from 14 carries by Jacquizz Rodgers who achieved his first career 100 yard rushing today.

The strong running game opened a strong passing game where Indianpolis were ranked #2 allowed Ben Roethlisberger to throw for 344 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Steelers slided to victory.

James Farrior who forced a fumble and had 3 tackles during the first quarter broke his elbow and is out for the rest of the season. Alabama First Year Pro Rolando McClain will take his place in the starting lineup.

Game Ball
Chad Henne replaced the injured Chad Pennington and Tyler Thigpen and completed 4 of 5 for 81 yards and a touchdown.

Quick Take

The Miami Dolphins steal one from the Steelers defense as they successfully mounted a 4th quarter comeback

The Steelers are doing a 2010 Baltimore Ravens and Indianapolis Colts stunt, losing momentum and wins after a solid start to the season. Now next week they face the 7-2 Titans, the same record as they now suddenly have.

This game wasn't pretty in a near monsoon like conditions similar to that of the 2007 game but at least this had touchdowns. Steelers Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was off all game as he completed 11 of 26 passes and threw three interceptions, his worst game since the 2008 encounter against the New York Giants.

The Steelers lead the AFC Conference but could lose out as they travel to Nashville to face off against the Titans for the AFC Championship rematch in Pittsburgh beat the Titans 24-21 and then travel to Baltimore to face off against the 6-3 Ravens in the biggest rivalry in the NFL on Sunday Night.

PITTSBURGH, PA

It was over when...
In overtime Ben Roethlisberger connected to Mike Wallace on a 33 yard pass which set up the game winning touchdown throw to Heath Miller.

Game Ball
Chris Johnson ran over Pittsburghs run defense with 120 yards and two touchdowns, he now has 10 straight 100 yard rushing games during the 2011 season... Ben Roethlisberger compelted 70% of his passes and threw for over 370 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Face the Facts
When Polamalu has had an interception this season the Steelers are 3-0
Did you know the Steelers have only 2 rushing touchdowns this season but are in the top 5 for rushing yards per team? The leading rusher Rashard Mendenhall has no touchdowns.
LaMarr Woodley leads the team in sacks (7)

Quick Take

The Titans were looking for revenge, they were going to do that until some excellent defense and gutsy play calling brought the Steelers back in it.

The Titans fair to say simply ran all over the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers didn't get their first touchdown till the 4th quarter whilst it looked like it was going to end when Chris Johnson cruised his way into the endzone to put his franchise up 20-13 with just a few minutes left.

The game was a defensive struggle as both teams were ranked #1 and #3 respectively, it didn't show today as Pittsburgh threw on the #2 ranked pass defense and The Titans ran all over a stout run defense. The Titans were playing mistake free football until David Gerrard threw an interception to Troy Polamalu in the dying seconds of the third quarter and took it back 38 yards to the Titans goal line. Ben Roethlisberger took advantage and levelled the scores 13-13 when Heath Miller caught in the back of the endzone.

Chris Johnson carried his team today when he burst threw the gap and evaded Troy Polamalu to take it 35 yards to surely put the Steelers away, but they breathed and with Speedstar Mike Wallace and Santonio Holmes Ben Roethlisberger took them back down to field and took it to overtime. They won the coin toss and took it back for a Steeler win.

The 8-2 Pittsburgh Steelers face the 7-3 Baltimore Ravens on NBC Next week, just like last season winner takes the go ahead first place in the division.
