Living in Ohio, I try to make the Hall of Fame inductions whenever a Steeler goes in, who is next? And how many more soon??
Woodson. Gary Anderson?? as a Steeler???? Dawson?? Bettis. L.C.Greenwood?? Any opinions on these guys?? Think Carnell Lkae has an outside shot?? or did we need a championship.

2007 -- Terrell Davis, Jamal Anderson, Randall Cunningham, Eric Allen, Carnell Lake, Bruce Matthews, Ricky Watters and Tony Boselli were the names I was presented with. I'd say that Matthews is the strongest candidate of the bunch. Davis will be the most perplexing. Just how long does a career have to be? His lasted seven years, three of which were a wash, four of which were productive, with three of them accounting for 5,296 yards. No runner has ever gained more in three consecutive seasons. OK, so if we're approving Davis' seven-year career, then how about Boselli's seven-year career? Five Pro Bowls in seven years. Right now I'm inclined to say yes to Davis, no to Boselli, and this might be a good year to get in the leftovers from 2006.
2009 -- Shannon Sharpe, John Randle, Bruce Smith, Rod Woodson, Gary Anderson, Larry Centers. I added the last three myself. Sharpe, Smith and Woodson, yes, yes and yes. Randle, no. Lots of sacks, but just too unsound against the run. Sorry, but they haven't yet ruled out that part of the game. Anderson? Well, he's the leading field-goal producer and scorer of all time, although by '09 he'll probably be second to Morten Andersen, which will take him out of commission in the HOF voting. Centers is the most prolific pass-catching back. Is this enough? I don't think it will be. Thanks to Dr. Z at SI.com. Gotta respect it cause he gets a vote. But I can see his side. So just Woodsen and Bettis I would believe.

The HOF is a such a prestigious honor and unfortunately not everybody can get in.. but man, can we just get get LC & Donnie Shell in there.. comon, they were a big part of our dynasty team too !
Woodson & Bettis. HOF locks, no doubt, they'll both be in first ballot first year. Gary Anderson, yeah I said say too, but man I sure hope he goes in a Steeler. |

No votes for Dawson?? When he played he was condidered the best. I know it helps to win rings. I think if we can get some rings now, Faneca may get in, Ward, and maybe Porter, you really need rings. And who knows whom else, Troy, Ben, and some of the others are to young.

yes, both swann and stallworth are in the HOF. Check out www.profootballhof.com for more info on the HOF and the players inducted.
Dawson should definately be considered. Good call cleve..forgot about good ole dert there for a second. If Hines and Alan keep up the pace they are at now, they'll be locks as well. |

Yes, you would think that Hines Ward was on his way to the Hall someday, but rings help.
So lets hope he gets rings. Lets hope Bettis gets off the list of best players ever, who didn`t get a ring.
