I made this topic, so everyone can post facts about past Super Bowls, that COMPARE to this one, like... Pittsburgh's last Super Bowl apperance 1996, they lost... Or something.. Here's a couple...
The last Quarterback to be drafted 1st round, and win the Super Bowl with his original team, and STARTING the game... was Troy Aikman, he was drafted in 1989 by the Cowboys, and won it in 93, 94, and 96 as starter. Ben Roethlisberger could achieve this feat on the 5th. Ben Roethlisberger can become the YOUNGEST player in history to win the Super Bowl. Dan Marino is the youngest to play, but he did not win. Ben would steal the title from Tom Brady who was 24 when he won it. Ben is 23. And of course, the 5th is the 36th day of the year.. Jerome Bettis has never won a Super Bowl. |

Terry Bradshaw and Joe Montana are tied with 4 SB wins for QB's
Since 1984, the only AFC teams to win the Super Bowl are Denver, Baltimore, and New England the NFC is 6-0 in Super Bowls televised by ABC (SB 19,49ers over Dolphins,SB 22, Wash over Denver,SB 25, Giants over Bills,SB 29 49ers over SD,SB 34, Rams over Titans, SB 37, Tampa over Oak) There has been 42 hours and 30 minutes of pregme coverage since 1982 devoted to human interest features appealing to women regarding players who overcame horrible childhoods to play in the NFL, reach the Super Bowl, and cry on camera. Since 1995 Mike Ditka has interupted his own sentences to beging new ones at total of 852 times on various pregame shows. |

Hopefully both teams are literate, since they get to play on ABC.

Seattle is looking to go 1/1 in Super Bowl appreances and wins....unlike the Bills who have been there 4 times and never won it.
Mike Holmgren is the 5th coach in history to go to the Super Bowl with two different teams. Mike Holmgren could be the first in the NFL to win the Super Bowl with two different teams. Jerry Rice is probably the best Super Bowl performer of recent times. |

They've been great for a while now, three Super Bowls' worth of great. But only this season have the New England Patriots become The Show, the must-see team of stars, pretty boys and reformed bad boys. Suddenly, the Patriots are not simply great; they're compelling, fascinating, appearing to be almighty and a touch lawless. The Patriots didn't bother with swagger to start this NFL season; they went straight to defiant. Either you're one of them or you're about to get crushed. |
