Default If Ben wants to be the leader and ultimate team player...

... he needs to take a big paycut so that we can resign woodley, holmes (extend) and bring back other big names like hampton and clark...

why did he want so much money that he knows will take a massive part of the salary, i know the rooneys offered him, but in the back of his mind did he not think about offseason free agents..., i like the dude but that's selfish, follow peyton mannning, as he always takes paycuts...

$99.2M deal includes $34.5M signing bonus

The NFL's best player is also its richest player.

Colts quarterback Peyton Manning has agreed to a landmark $99.2 million, seven-year contract that will pay him a league-record $14.17 million annually.

How do you know he won't?

Yeah, Manning sure took a pay cut when he signed that contract with (at the time) the largest signing bonus ever given to one player. Never mind that it hurt the Colts' ability to sign quality players on D.

It ain't being selfish if a team offers you $100 million and you take it. In fact, I'd have to question your sanity for NOT taking it. And I'm sure if he is asked to restructure his contract, he will do it.

"Restructure" does not equal "pay cut."

Ben's regular season QB rating is higher than Peyton's. Food for thought.

But Steelers didn't make the playoffs so we have to blame SOMETHING (besides the defense) :`(
