PITTSBURGH (AP) The Pittsburgh Steelers will play division champions New England, New Orleans and Cincinnati in 2010, based on the NFL's scheduling formula.

The Steelers play home and away against AFC North rivals Cincinnati (10-5 and playing Sunday night), Baltimore (9-7) and Cleveland (5-11). They will also play the four AFC East teams: New England (10-6), the New York Jets (8-7 and playing Sunday night), Miami (7-9) and Buffalo (6-10).

Under the NFL's interconference rotation, they will meet New Orleans (13-3), Atlanta (9-7), Carolina (8-8) and Tampa Bay (3-13) of the NFC South.

The Steelers will meet third-place teams from the other two AFC divisions, Oakland (5-11) and Tennessee (8-8). Six opponents will be holdovers, including Miami, Oakland and Tennessee.

The NFL will announce sites and dates in April.

(I'm sure that Belicheat will arrange it with his pit lapdog Goodell so we have to play an away game in Cheatland at the most disadvantageous time for us. - mesa)

Nah, the Jets and Pats are coming to Pittsburgh next year.. Miami and Buff came to Pitt 3 years and its on a rotation basis.

We are in NO and Tampa next year..

If NO wins the Super Bowl, I can see us being picked to play in that 1st game next year..

I hope it's an away game against the Titans. We hosted this year, so only fair. And frankly, I'd go to that game. Gonna try and make one road and one home game of the Steelers this year. Living in NM makes that very difficult.

Rotational basis?

2008 Pittsburgh at Cheats in Cheatland
2007 Pittsburgh at Cheats in Cheatland
2004 Cheats in Pittsburgh
2002 Pittsburgh at Cheats in Cheatland

Doesn't look rotational to me.

2007 is the last year we played AFC East teams.

every 3 years we will play the AFC East on a rotational basis home/away(2004 the game was in Pitt), thus the 2010 game will be in Pitt.

We played at NE last year because in 2007 both teams finished in 1st place.

2004 - the AFC North played the AFC East - got NE, NYJ at home, played at BUF, MIA
2007 - same thing, only got BUF, MIA at home and NE, NYJ on the road
2008 - Steelers played AFC South champion (IND) at home, AFC East champion (NE) on the road
2010 - next year of rotation, so NE, NYJ at home, BUF, MIA on the road.

Not sure about 2002, but I think it was the same scenario as 08.

So next year's schedule:

Home: CLE, BAL, CIN, NE, NYJ, OAK, CAR, ATL
Road: CLE, BAL, CIN, BUF, MIA, TEN, NO, TB
