nfldraftscout.com is usually pretty close with thier player evauation. Interesting that they listed Earl Thomas as a CB.

Wow...good catch!!

That has to be due to his size (5'10 195 lbs) and his speed. They do list FS/SS as his projected secondary position in the NFL. That can only help his draft status.

We must resign Big snack and go all in for Earl Thomas he is perfect for the steelers. Does anyone think George Selvie will fall to the third round he could definatly add some depth at DE.

I think you may have meant OLB. He would be great value in the 3rd. With all this talent I believe a quality undersized DE might fall to a 3-4 team to convert to OLB

No problem. I am sorting hoping that Eric Norwood might slide. He could cover ILB and OLB.

Exactly why I like Moats...and I think we can get him in the later rounds due to his being from a smaller school.

I see a lot of people talking him up as a late round pick on other teams boards. I wonder if he is on the radar of the scouts. He could be moving into the 5th or 6th??

I think that is a possibility. He still shows as a 7th rounder on nfldraftscout.com, but with being able to run a 4.58 forty and leading the nation in tackles for loss....I think he will go just about where you stated.

I think that we can all agree that our first round pick will probably be hinged on who we resign, and with the two critical players being Ryan Clark and Casey Hampton. Jeff reed will also figure into the equation. I think even if we resign either/both of the critical positions we will still need to find some youth behind them

Here is a breakdown of three scenerios:

If we resign Casey and Reed and let Clark go, I think that we may trade up for a Safety and that we may pick up NT Torell Troupe in the 3rd. so the draft may look like this.

1) Safety/CB Earl Thomas
3) NT Torell Troupe
4) CB Akwasi Owusu-Ansah
5) OLB/ILB Arthur Moats
5b) RB Joique Bell
5c) OT Dominique Franks
6) QB John Skelton
7) TE Nate Byham, Pittsburgh
7) FS Shann Schillinger

If we let Casey go and we resign Clark and Reed I think we may go this route:

1) NT Dan Williams
2) CB Dominique Franks
3) OT Jason Fox
4) ILB Micah Johnson
5) OLB/ILB Arthur Moats
5b) RB Joique Bell
5c) Safety Barry Church
6) QB John Skelton
7) TE Nate Byham
7) DE Brandon Deaderick

If we do not sign Casey, Reed or Ryan we may go:

1) NT Dan Williams
2) Safety Nate Allen
3) OT Jason Fox
4) CB Akwasi Owusu-Ansah
5) OLB/ILB Arthur Moats
5b) RB Joique Bell
5c) Kicker Leigh Tiffin
6) QB John Skelton
7) TE Nate Byham
7) FS Shann Schillinger

SOOO many possibilities...its going to be interesting.
