I was psyched when the talks of the new Camaro were started. I had a '99 Z28 and was planning to get a new one. After seeing it though, at least compared to the new Challenger, it falls short of being a muscle car. I sat in one the other day and it looks and feels more like a sports car. They won't let you drive one unless you're serious about buying it.

June of next year I'll be buying either a Challenger or a Charger. I'd like to get a Challenger but may have to get a Charger because I can't spend $38K on a car and not be able to haul the family on long trips.

Camaro is better than Challenger and Mustang, it out competes them both no issues... Ford is releasing the 5.0 again, but it's not the same one they had in the Foxbodies and 94-95 model years.

You're going by the Car & Drive type magazines. There is such a fine line in regards to performance that you really can't lose in that respect with any of them so it comes down to what you like.

Personally I'd take a muscle car over a sports car. But that's just me.

LOL The day hasn't come when I would even consider dropping 50 grand on a 4000lb Mustang! Someone ought to inform Ford that cars usually aren't manufactured with solid axles anymore... LOL
