I know that the seahawks forum posted this and I am just copying off of them I thought it might be fun for us to do it also
What do you think?
PICKSIX: Playoff Edition is an entirely different type of game.
Instead of there being a winner each week, there will be only one winner after the results of the SuperBowl.
The Playoff Edition, is basically a game of point gambling.
Each player begins the game with 20 points. You can bet as many or as little of those points on however many games you choose.
At the end of that week's games, your bets will be tallied, and you new point total will be given to you. You take your new point total into next week's games so on and so on all the way to the SuperBowl. But know this, once you're out of points, they're gone for good, so bet carefully!
The player with the most points after the SuperBowl wins!
For the final round of the Playoff Edition, you can bet up to half your points on who you think will win. The remainder of your points must be bet on at least five of these propositional bets:
PROPOSOTIONAL BET --------------- PAYOUT
__________ will win the coin toss. x2
The Seahawks will score over 20 points. x2
The Steelers will score over 20 points. x2
(what team) will score the first points of the game? x2
(what team) will score the final points of the game? x2
The team that scores first will win. x2
The team that scores last will win. x2
(which team) will commit the first penalty? x2
(which team) will commit the most penalties? x2
(which team) will have greater time of possession? x2
The Seahawks will score under 20 points. x3
The Steelers will score under 20 points. x3
(which team) will make the first turnover? x3
(what player) will have the most rushing yards? x3
Shaun Alexander will have over 100 yards rushing. x3
There will be at least one missed field goal. x4
(what player) will have the most receiveing yards? x5
There will be a successful 2 point conversion. x6
(what player) will score the first points? x8
(what player) will score the first touchdown? x10
There will be a safety scored. x12
(what player) will be named Super Bowl MVP? x12
(what player) will have the longest (yardwise) play? x15
The PAYOUTS are how much you win (if correct) times the amount of points bet.
Below is an an example of play. Let's say I have 80 points to start with.
I bet 30 that Pittsburgh will win.
Then I bet my remaining 50 points on the following:
There will be a safety scored. 4 points
Josh Brown will score the first points. 12 points
Pittsburgh will have greater time of possession. 15 points
The Seahawks will score under 20 points. 5 points
The Seahawks will win the coin toss. 6 points
Jerome Bettis will be named Super Bowl MVP. 8 points
Now let's the say the following happens:
The Seahawks win the Super Bowl.
Pittsburgh scored a safety.
Josh Brown did score the first points.
Seattle had a greater time of possession.
The Seahawks score 27 points.
Pittsburgh won the coin toss.
Peter Warrick was named MVP.
The exampled player would:
- Lose 30 on the Seahawks win. (Now at 50 points)
- Won 48 on the safety scored because he bet 4 and there was a x12 payout (Now at 98 points)
- Won 96 on Josh Brown scoring first because he bet 12 at an x8 payout (Now at 194 points)
- Lost 15 on the time of possession (Now at 179)
- Lost 5 on the Seahawks scoring under 20 (Now at 174)
- Lost 6 on the coin toss (Now at 168)
- Lost 8 on naming the MVP.
The exampled player would then finish with 160.
