2010 NFL Week 4 - Game Report

Pittsburgh Steelers (2-1) at Cleveland Browns (0-3)

Steelers destroy Browns, eventually use Backup QB's

Santonio Holmes started the second half with a 70 yard touchdown run

Box Score
- 10 - 07 - 17 - 00- 34

- 00 - 03 - 00 - 00- 03

PITTSBURGH, PAŚ

It was over when...
After Earl Thomas Intercepted Jake Delhomme Dennis Dixon ran in a 14 yard touchdown to put the Steelers up 34-3 with 1:46 remaining in the third Quarter.

Game Ball
Earl Thomas has made a statement to the league with his third interception of the season. He also sacked Jake Delhomme and recorded five tackles.

Key Stat
The Steelers forced three interceptions and stopped the Browns newly Re-Signed Running Back Jamal Lewis to just 18 total rushing yards throughout the entire game forcing the now 0-4 Browns to be one dimensional with a poor passing attack.

Noteworthy
Rashard Mendenhall ran for 93 yards on 21 carries which included a 26 yard gain

Story
PITTSBURGH -- After being swept by the Cleveland Browns for the first time since being brought back into the league in the late 90's the Steelers were out for revenge.

They did more than revenge in today's game -- They crushed the Browns like Ants running around on the floor.

They mutilated them. The Browns could only conjure 80 total yards by the half. It wasn't good enough as the Steelers are slowly returning back to their 08 form when they forced turnovers and heavily renewed the name Blitzburgh.

Can Jake Delhomme's career get any worse as a Cleveland Brown? He has now thrown 4 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in just four games as a Brown.

It was the first time in over 7+ years both Steelers Starting Cornerbacks had interceptions in the same game. The Duo of Ike Taylor/Deshea Townsend, Ike Taylor/Bryant McFadden, Ike Taylor/William Gay combo never achieved this poor feat.

But times has changed as the Steelers 14th Overall Pick is quickly making an impact in the league.

"Coach (Lebeau) has told me i'm doing good right now, im just gonna continue to improve" said the already 2 time defensive player of the week during the 2010 season Rookie Cornerback Earl Thomas.

Times are looking good for the Pittsburgh Steelers as they head into the bye week 3-1.
