Default Peyton Manning or Tom Brady

Since we have the official Tom Brady sucks post, I'd figure I'd ask this. Who would you rather have, Peyton or Tom? I don't mean as a Steeler either, any team, any coach, any playbook, anything. I would probably go with Brady (as much as I don't want to say that ) simply because he's better in the playoffs. So... whats everyone's opinion?

Peyton is like a kid playing in his backyard. The old Manning home videos show him crying when he gets tackled...and he still cries when he gets tackled.

I'll take Manning hands down. And for one reason...

If you look at what Tom Brady has had to work with, it's not a surprise he has more rings than Manning. Look at the Superbowl run the Pats made a few years ago.

Brady spent the whole season in the pocket with very little pressure on him. Granted, Manning got sacked less than anyone this year, but he has also proven he can handle the pressure in the pocket. I don't have the figures in front of me, but Brady's passer rating is so much lower when he has any pressure on him at all. Manning's big selling point has been his calmness in the pocket and his ability to make things happen when pressured. I'm not saying he doesn't take sacks and make bad throws, but he's definitely better than Brady under pressure from the rush. There's no question New England has had the better offensive line in recent years.

Agreed and also look how well Cassel did when Brady went down, they posted a 11-5 record...( i know it didnt make the playoffs but still...) Cassel being successful had alot to do with the o line like you said being pretty good.

I would take Manning over Brady in a second regardless of playoff record.

Manning scares me. He couldn't beat the Saints, but they are good. It was the Super Bowl. Manning is still a top-flight quarterback, and will continue to be for years to come. I'll go with Manning. Who should likely finish his career with 6-7 MVPs. =/

In the last three super bowl, Tom Brady, Eli Manning, Kurt Warner, Ben Roethlisberger, and Drew Brees have all engineered late 4th quarter, lead-changing, touchdown drives.

And Peyton Manning threw a pick-six.

Just wanted to throw that out there.

Um....Brady hasn't won a Superbowl in 6 years...and he came up with the biggest choke in the history of modern sports the last time he played in one. I'd take Manning.
