That's a shame. I lived in Alliance for 3 years in the early 60s and my memories are that Ohio was pretty nice. Rolling countryside. Nice neighborhoods. Snow? Yikes!!

Went to Cleveland several times on business in the late 90s. Seemed like a nice town. The view from the city over the lake was great. And I once had a hotel room looking down on the Jake. Awfully impressive.

Funny that St. Louis was picked solely because of its' football teams failure. Shouldn't more criteria be put into determining the cities?

Also funny that a Chicago publication would include their very own city in the list.

For some reason that cracks me up.

I also live in Ohio, and personally, I'm not surprised the list is packed with Ohio cities. I hate this state.

Well, seeing as that you're from massillon, you see a lot of the same things I do. I'm from just south of Massillon and was actually born in Massillon and lived there until I was two. This part of the state in particular is riddled with uneducated media, politicans and voters, rednecks with drinking problems, a poor economy and... the list goes on. Canton is on the list which is hilarious, that it made it over come of the bigger cities. I don't see the problem with Canton, I don't feel miserable. I mean, there is sections of this city that are in the slums. But every city has that.
