Alabama DT Cody down to 354 pounds
INDIANAPOLIS — Terrence Cody’s 370-pound frame was the talk of the Senior Bowl last month. Now, the Alabama defensive tackle has lost 16 pounds, somewhat easing concerns about his weight.
Cody weighed in at 354 pounds Saturday at the NFL Scouting Combine. He was listed at 365 during his senior season at Alabama, where NFL.com’s Gil Brandt said the lineman never weighed under 356. Great Job Cody. If he slides to the second round we might take him but I dont see him getting past San Diego. However San Diego needs a RB.

Proportionately, I could go lose 5 lbs. and grab some headlines. It's good he dropped some of that weight, but hopefully he's doing it by losing a lot of fat and putting on some more muscle. Time will tell if he can keep it off.

We'll have to see. It's good that he lost weight for the combine, but you have to wonder about a guy who let himself get that fat playing for Nick the Prick. Will he be able to stay in somewhat decent shape over the long haul?

I believe Cody will fall to the second round, and then I would love to see us take him there. Drafting the G/T in the 1st from Idaho, Iupauti would be a nice start to our draft.
