The Steelers had a private meeting with Golden Tate at the combine today according to Mike Mayock, any thoughts?

No not really, i wouldnt give it a whole lot of thought really.

I highly doubt we are going to take him and this meeting is just one of many that will probably occur.....we are just weighing ALL options but im sure more options have a better chance of happening then others and Golden Tate is one of those options that probably wont happen with our other needs.

Yeah they're going to interview a ton of guys between now and the draft...he's just one of the ones on the list. It doesnt mean they will pick him at all.

Just part of FO gamesmanship as far as I'm concerned. Pretty sure the other teams know the steelers aren't going to spend a high pick on a reciever like Tate.

There doing for 3 reasons.

1.just to see his personality
2.maybe to tell limas this is it your last year if u do what u keep doing.
3.no team likes to tell other teams what there eyes are set on. keep it honest so the rats ect don't know who we want to select so they can select someone to counter him in years to come ex. michael oher v woodley although woodley far superior.

We dont need to draft a WR in the 1st we can get one in the 3rd,4th or 5th. We need O line & Defense, then RB & WR and a blocking/catching TE
