Default OSU's Thad Gibson a Possibility?

Quote:
Defensive lineman Doug Worthington put together an outstanding positional workout March 12 at Ohio State’s pro day.

Prior to position drills, Worthington (6-foot-5 1/8, 290 pounds) ran 5.02 and 5.06-seconds in the 40-yard dash, had a 35.5-inch vertical leap and a 10-foot, 1-inch broad jump.

Representatives from 25 teams, including Steelers linebackers coach Keith Butler, were on hand to watch 15 former Buckeyes and nine players from smaller area schools work out outdoors on FieldTurf in Ohio Stadium. These players stood out:

Defensive end Thaddeus Gibson (6-2 1/8, 243) ran 4.58 and 4.59 in the 40 and stood on the rest of his results from the combine. Gibson was a top performer among defensive linemen in three events in Indianapolis. Gibson also did a position workout with representatives from the Steelers.
Safety Kurt Coleman (5-10 1/8, 192) ran 4.56 and 4.56 in the 40, had a 34.5-inch vertical leap, 10-foot, 2-inch broad jump, 4.15 short shuttle, 6.81 three-cone drill and did position drills.

Defensive lineman Robert Rose (6-4 1/4, 294) ran 4.75 and 4.78 in the 40, 27.5-inch vertical leap, 9-foot, 2-inch broad jump, 4.44 short shuttle, 7.44 three-cone drill, completed 24 bench press repetitions at 225 pounds and did position drills.

Defensive lineman Lawrence Wilson (6-4 1/8, 272) ran 4.83 and 4.84 in the 40, had a 34-inch vertical leap, 10-foot broad jump, 4.55 short shuttle, 7.53 three-cone drill and completed 26 bench press reps.

Wide receiver Ray Small (5-10, 182) ran 4.44 and 4.46 in the 40, had a 31-inch vertical leap, 9-foot, 1-inch broad jump, 4.10 short shuttle, 6.77 three-cone drill and did position drills.

Kicker Aaron Pettrey (6-0, 201) stood on his results from the combine.

OLB depth is an area of need but isn't Gibson viewed as a 2nd round guy? Kind of high. I wasn't aware that Gibson was even on the radar.

Is this a case of turning over every stone or do you guys think we have legitimate intrest?
