I said I would do this, so here I am !!

Back a couple of months ago, I was here and made some observations about Ben Roethlisberger that he has done a magnificent job of disproving.

So I am now here to RETRACT any and all remarks I have previously made which disparage the ability of YOUR QB !! He has been nothing short of THE MAN during the postseason !!

Further, I give you my word that from this day forward, I WILL NEVER AGAIN question Ben's ability. Now that still leaves me the option to rag on him if he goes out and throws four int's at some point, but then again, you folks will likely do the same in that situation !!

Anyway, I said that I would come here at some point before the SB and make this declaration, and now I have done so ..........

Now that I have lived up to my promise, I give my view of the game !!

Simply put, Roethlisberger is gonna have to BE THE MAN ONE MORE TIME !!!

Seatlle's defense is not terribly different than Indy or Denver, both of whom pretty much shut down your rushing attack. But I think that the Seahawks have shown the ability to get pressure on the QB more consistently than those other two teams.

Your defense simply HAS TO STOP Shaun Alexander, and then the rushing part of the equation is a wash. But the Stooler defense has also shown a tremendous ability to harrass opposing QBs.

So ......... in my humble (at the moment, anyway) opinion, this game comes down to which team can give their QB the time he needs to do his thing !!

I am not about to say there is a clear cut choice as to whom is better suited to accomplish that feat, but you KNOW who I am HOPING to see get the job done !!!!
