You can get an HDTV for less than $450 if you know where to look. There's a misconception that you have to spend thousands of dollars on an HDTV - you don't. Sure, you can if you absolutely have to have an uber-huge screen with 1080p HD, but for someone like me, who lives in an apartment, a 32" screen works just fine. There's no way I'd have been able to afford one if I still had to pay $1500 or $2000 for it.
