I just posted this in the other Bradshaw thread, he was not in Detroit, he was at home, he wanted to be with family. Joe Montana was not there either, he wanted 100,000$ to be there, and the NFL declined, so he didn't go. Jake Scott wasn't there because he is in Australia, and a Cowboy wasn't there, because he died of cancer in 01.

Terry appears to be a great Steeler fan. Your icon was home in bed.

Lol, Lynn Swann looked like Nixon with his hands up in the air. it's funny cause he's running for Governor. And I think Franco's waiving of the towel quieted all those Seahawks who claimed he loved their city...

Wow, you're bitter... Who cares, I mean sure it woulda been nice to see him, but if he would rather spend time with his family I think he deserves that, he already gave his superbowl mvp performances on behalf of the organization...

How about Joe Namath! Local boy..woo hoo!
I heard the guys on 970AM this morning saying that Joe Montana was not there because he had demanded a $100,000 appearance fee. They also stated that they had heard the Bradshaw had requested payment, as well. Don't know if there is any validity to it, but if so, that is embarassing. These guys were given all-expense paid trips to the Super Bowl and then, for the guys who showed up, were probably treated like royality...and these two want cash? Not good....

I just found THIS. This appears to be confirmation that it was all about the money for Montana and Bradshaw. Sad....

Bradshaw was in Detroit last week, did an interview with Jim & Randy on DVE, and it was a good one. I too was surprised he wasn't in the ceremony.

Terry is not bashful about being in it for the $$$.

Since it came up in both his interview I heard on Atlanta sports talk and in the PTI interview, my guess is teh only reason he was in Detroit earlier in the week to give interviews was so he could plug some movie in which he apparently is married to Kathy Bates.

As for Montana apparently asking for $100K (maybe that is what he was paid for the FedEx commercial), his belief the NFL would pay that amount is laughable.

$$$$$$$$$$.

I can't get over the fact that Bradshaw showed up in the Burgh for a book signing the weekend Swann was getting inducted in Canton. It's always about Terry for Bradshaw, and his making up with Pittsburgh was for his image. This is a guy who was AWOL for Mr. Rooney's funeral.
