i think the pirates would end up passing on Harper if he fell for some reason, unless they move him to first where his bat could still be a plus. I agree on the fact that we need a number 1 pitcher in the system. id be hesitant to be faith into a high school arm as our 'ace' of the future but given our track record of drafting college pitchers it might not be a bad idea.

two games, three home runs so far for Alvarez. Looks like we may see him sooner than we thought. Tony Sanchez had two more RBIs (on two doubles) and Chase D'Arnaud has four or five hits in the first two games. Good start from our hitters, now if our pitchers would catch up (AAA has given 29 runs in not even 2 complete games).

im trying to hold out hearing the score which shouldnt be hard to do here in VA. gonna watch the whole thing in the morning when i get home from work.
