No not a Steeler or Seahawks fan. You guys need some perspective. The world does not revolve around the Super Bowl.

Watching the pre-game, it was clear that the telecast, and the event was stacked to the rabid Steelers fans. I stopped counting after the 2nd quarter the number of times it was mentioned the Steelers as a historic franchise. Did anyone notice that the official "home" team had to come out first to unsportsmanlike boos from the crowd to the the "visiting" team coming in to a WWF entrance, music and all? But it was good to see the refs ensure it all turned out in favor of the crowd and national audience with their odd calls. Now listening to the American post-game feed of ESPN is like a love in to the Steelers. American homer hype is a joke. Funny how this homer patriotism carries over into everything else....you guys are hilarious!

Doesn't really matter though does it? I know and others now the real deal but it doesn't change the score in the end. As I said we had more than enough chances to change this around despite the sewage that ESPN spouts.

I mean come on do you really believe a sports network based in Conneticut with a bunch of analysts like Sean Salisbury (he has a personal grudge against us) would ever give an unbaised report?

This was no different than any other road game for us but the fact is that we had multiple chances to change this and we didn't while Pittsburgh did the opposite no matter how I hate it, facts are facts. And now we have to live with the the result until next year just like any other bridemaid and that pisses me off to a degree that you will never feel.

Are you talking about the pick after the "holding call" that shoulda never happened in the first place?

When it was 14-10 and we were driving in the 3rd. That was a clear interception no excuses.

The point is the NFL claims its Super Bowl is neutral, but it is a farce. It's clear that the Seahawks were never going to attract the imagination of the larger American public, and those who buy the blue and gold trinkets to fund some corporate marketing pockets. Its like the Maple Leafs in Canada. The universe on our TSN Sports Network revolves around TO (that's Toronto, not the Philly disgrace) and its big market, forcing us to hear all the "home rink" details on a "national" network. (BTW, Go Penguins, you deserve more exposure...Crosby is great...Lemieux one of the greatest, ever. Hopefully the salary cap will help you beat the Leaf juggernaught!!).

Your lamenting that this was a "road game" is exactly what makes the Super Bowl a farce of a championship game.

As for the game, the Steelers exposed the 7 man Hawks front creeping up and overplaying on a couple of big plays, that's all it took. The gadget play was a great call, despite field position gained on a call that should be a non-call.

Pittsburg also did a good job reading and not touching the deep punts that went for touchbacks (I think there were 4). That changed the field position game dramatically.

I already knew that the referees would do anything in their power to give the game to the Steelers, as did any Seahawk fan I mean it is par for the course. But the point is irregardless of the officiating we had more than enough chances to win but we never stepped it up, unlike the Steelers so the point is moot.

I mean come on do you think coming to a Steeler board with this tripe will convince anybody that you aren't talking out your ass?

northoftheborder, Why the F-CK are you on our site? You claim to have no ties to the Hawks or the Steelers, yet you feel the need to register on our site today and talk all this sh-t. Stick to hockey or your gay ass football league in canada and STFU!
