Big Ben and his 22.6 QB Rating?, Worst QB Rating of a Super Bowl winner?

Congrats to Steelers fans, but Big Ben's 9/21 for 123 yards, ZERO TDs and 2 INTs has to rank with the worst performances of a Super Bowl winning QB.

Ben played a very shakey game. He looked tentative and his passes weren't sharp like they had been leading up to the Super Bowl. Not sure why that is, but he didn't play well at all.

He made a few mistakes and a lot of bad throws, and he made a couple nice plays.

He's still a Super Bowl winning QB, and he's a HUGE reason they got there in the first place.

Nice job by Ben tho, handing off the football and all, it still stand seems like he chokes in big games.

Credit seattles defense..they came toplay and really gave our offense fits for most of the first half. Ben looked tentative when seattle dropped those 3 guys back into coverage and just basically dared him to throw it. I felt we ran way too much on first down setting us up in 3rd and long like we werent used to do doing.

It wasnt until we got some decent field position that we started to take advantage of them some .

Yeah!! I guess the expectations were way too high for a second year QB in his first Superbowl.

So the kid had a bad game in his first Super Bowl at the age of 23. Big deal? Just proves this team can still win when their QB is having an off-day......in the Super Bowl nonetheless.

If anything, I think it's a tribute to the steelers as a team. Ben threw some very questionable passes and wasnt able to do much of anything, but he didn't need to win it for us. The defense, Hines Ward and Willie Parker stepped up and had great games. Imagine how things would have turned out if Ben actually had a good game.

He did scramble, stay on behind the line to complete a 3rd and 28. Run for a TD, run for a late first down, hit Ward in the hands in the end zone. He played poorly but would not call it a choke.

If scoring a rushing TD, picking up a block that helped ARE complete that pass to Hines, and getting a first down that basically put the game away, and, oh yeah, converting a 4th and 28 off a scramble, and winning a Super Bowl with a 27-4 career record is choking....I'll take it. Oh yeah, how's Carson's leg? Hopefully he kept it elevated while he was watching his daddies with the Super Bowl.
