Im irritated at the threads going up here from some people whining and crying foul...
We are the Super Bowl XL World Champions. Nobody can take that away from us. I refuse to let anyone say our win was tainted because of officiating. The officials were pretty bad most of the playoffs at various times. There is no doubt the NFL needs full time officials, I agree with that. We went into Cincy and beat the Bengals.. Not the Officials We went into Indy and beat up on the colts.. Not the Officials We went into Denver and man handled them...Not the Officials and We went into Detroit and WE: Sacked & Pressured Hasslebeck..Made Alexander a non factor.. Shut down Daryl Jackson after the 1st quarter... Got in the heads of the WR's and Stevens...Made big hits in the secondary....We played well enough on Defense to win.. PERIOD and Had a 75 yd TD run... Huge 3rd down coversions... Gadget plays that worked to perfection... had Solid special teams play...a young Great QB who made plays when he needed too...and selfless play from everybody on the team to do their job to help us win. This board will not be content to let trolls try and ruin our SB Championship becuz they cant deal with the fact that we won it. The seahacks got away with plenty of HOLDING, illegal contact in the secondary, and missed their opportunities to put points on the board. We won, We're World Champions !!!! Deal with it ! |

Bingo!
I didn't notice any official missing a call on Parker's TD run. I didn't notice any offical missing a call on the Randel El to Ward TD pass. I didn't notice any official missing a call when the Steelers ground out over 4 minutes on the clock to take the clock down to the 2 minute warning. I didn't notice any offical missing a call on Jerramy Stevens numerous drops. I didn't notice any offical missing a call when Daryl Jackson didn't realize the field is only 53 yards wide and not 54. I didn't notice any offical missing a call when Casey Hampton and Deshae Townsend broke through the line to sack Hasselback in key situation. I didn't notice any offical missing a call when Hasselback completely overthrew his receiver on Taylor's INT. I didn't notice any offical missing a call when Josh Brown missed 53 and 50 yard FG's.....after going 7-12 from over 50 for the year. Please! The Seahawks killed themselves over and over and over and over again. The flag on Hasselback for the low block is the ONLY call that I will agree might have been a touchy call. However, as I've said in another thread....please show me a game where the officials make every call right. If you can't then quit your blathering and your whining. 2005 SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS.....PITTSBURGH STEELERS! |

Fact of the matter is that Pittsburgh overcame some bad officiating to win that game in Indy. Look, sometimes officials make some poor calls but there aint jack you can do about it. If Seattle was really a championship team they would have won the game.
Oh yeah, winners win and losers whine. I'm sure it sucks for 'Hawks fans and I feel for them but I don't feel that much for them. If their team was truly great it would have overcome any obstacles in front of it to win. |

I agree. Kidding. anyways yes there were calls the officials made wrong, the Jackson push off, etc. But was it enough to give Seattle the win... No one can say that, and like mentioned Seattle hurt themselves on holding etc. therefore no one can take away the Super Bowl. |

there was the wicked porter horse collar on alexander but there probably wasnt a official in position to see it. porter didnt try to drag him down with all his weight or hurt him though. id be pissed if they called that push off on hines. but its better than letting every wr play how m. irvin did.
but what are you gonna do. the steelers have been on the short side of the stick plenty of times. and its not like seattle didnt catch a break or 2 either. i gues you have to run 10 yards before a completion can be ruled a completion |
