The Steelers pay professionals to scout these players and evaluate talent, and generally they have made a lot better picks over the past decade than most other teams, so I'll just trust they know what they're doing. IMO, though, we should have targeted a CB and RB instead of OLB and WR in the 1st and 2nd. Since the FO didn't pick a CB, I'm guessing a) either the talent wasn't there in this draft, or b) they have a lot of confidence in their mid-round CBs drafted last year. IMO it seems like an excessive risk to depend on our unproven 3rd and 5th round picks. I mean, there's a reason they fell that low. Considering our secondary troubles last year, our most glaring need, it was something I would have definitely addressed in the first two days of the draft this year. But, then again, maybe the talent wasn't there.

At RB, perhaps they have confidence in those other 2 bruisers on the practice squad, most notably that guy who ran over half the defense on that one TD run against Carolina. But, my best guess is they're targeting a guy to take in the 4th tomorrow. Time will tell.

Emmanual continues to confuse me, though. First of all, I don't even know why we picked a WR. Further, Sanders is basically a clone of Stefan Logan, who just takes up a roster spot. I just don't see where Sanders fits into our offense in the long run. In any event, I don't think I'm alone in my thinking this pick was a reach. I would have preferred to have a possession WR like Eric Decker to fill Ward's role or even Andre Roberts. Again, though, I don't get paid to do this, and it's easy to criticize from the couch.

One bright note of the draft as a Steelers fan is that the Brownies passed on Earl Thomas. Lol @ Cleveland.

Who wants to listen to a dummy that advocates picking a center in round 1 and an outside linebacker in round 2. That just defies any kind of rational logic. What kind of dummy would spew out that kind of crap. they must be silenced.
