Default What to look for in Round 5

Its safe to say that the Steelers won't be drafting an outside linebacker in the 5th round.

Some guys to watch out for:

Dorin Dickeron- not a huge need but a solid value at tight end
John Conner- the blocking fullback Mike Tomlin wants to bring in
C.J. Wilson-defensive end depth
Perrish Cox-zone corner, but has some off field stuff
Myron Rolle-a PR pick who will contribute on specital teams
Nolan Carroll-corner depth
Jonathan Dwyer- good value in round 5

Dwyer, Blount, and Dixon would all be fine picks as well

The way this thing is going I'm figuring we'll draft a QB after trading for Lefty.

if you're making the argument that we didnt need to draft a WR in this draft i'd call you crazy.

plus, i wouldn't mind another WR here because the guy we got IMO, is too short .

You think maybe we can improve our secondary at some point as we have not done so yet!

yupp. major need! all because we let mcfadden go.. who we drafted...

all these loses are really biting us in the butt. The mcfaddan loss last year hurt us in the secondary last year. Real bad.

This year we will see the effects of losing Holmes.

We also saw the effects of losing Fanaca on the o-line.

Not happy with the Steelers FO overall. I know we don't like to re-sign guys for big bucks, but i'd like us to do it a little more often than we do now (like, other than Polamalu and Ward)

The Steelers have a habit of surprising people when they look like they are on the way down. I think we still have the solid core left on this team. They don't really need to find a lot of starters in this draft. Just good backups for existing older players. I am not unhappy with the picks so far. Linebacker U is at it again.
