Default Several teams interested in Randle El.

Quite a few teams are interested in Antwaan Randle El, according to some columns in newspapers, these teams are:

Chicago - http://www.dailysouthtown.com/southt...i/x07-lad1.htm

Washington - http://www.washtimes.com/sports/2006...4902-8318r.htm

New England - http://www.boston.com/sports/footbal...built_to_last/

and possibly Houston and Oakland. There will no doubt be some more teams interested as well.

I really cannot see Randdle El in New England next year - if the Patriots had that sort of money to spend they would invest it in a genuine No.2 and try to keep David Givens.

Washinton is interested in just about every over-priced player on the market - so no surprise there.

I think as a general rule - if Pittsburgh cannot afford to keep a player then New England wont be able to afford to sign them either.

The Patriots didn't bother with swagger to start this NFL season; they went straight to defiant. Either you're one of them or you're about to get crushed.

I hear that New England is interested in Joe Juravicious (sp?)

As for ARE, I want him back but we already have a lot of money tied up with Ward and not to mention we are 4 million over the cap. If ARE wants No. 2 money, the Steelers will let him walk.

Every offseason we try to sign a big target, possession type receiver to complement our smaller, speedy guys - every year we fail to get a decent one.

He would be a nice signing, but I cannot help but feel we would have to pay over market value to get him - something the Patriots rarely do.

Randle El isnt going to get into a better situation than he has now in Pittsburgh..he's a starting WR, and huge go to guy. He needs to keep his butt right here in steel town and keep playing opposite Hines.

Here's a list of this years FA's

Antwaan Randle El WR
Barrett Brooks OT
Brett Keisel LB UFA
Charlie Batch QB
Chris Hope S
Clint Kriewaldt LB
DeShea Townsend CB
Ike Taylor CB
Jerame Tuman TE
Kimo von Oelhoffen DE
Quincy Morgan WR
Sean Morey WR
Verron Haynes RB

It's tough to see us trying to cut any of them, Morey perhaps(Randle El has proven to be a nice versitile offensive player) but we focus more on the draft while trying to keep consistancy on a roster, plus with Bettis retired it should give us some room to throw in a potential starting rookie for next year, particularly a DL or RB
