Default Source: Faneca headed to Arizona

Gee....what a shocker.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5140938

Quote:
Pro Bowl guard Alan Faneca has agreed to a one-year, $2.5 million deal with the Arizona Cardinals, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter on Tuesday.

Faneca, released by the New York Jets last weekend, will receive a $300,000 signing bonus and $100,000 workout bonus, the source told Schefter. The $2.5 million base salary is fully guaranteed. He's also set to earn $5.25 million and a $118,000 workout bonus from the Jets. His total compensation is nearly $8 million for the season.

Faneca is reunited with Russ Grimm, the Cardinals' assistant head coach and offensive line coach. Grimm coached Faneca with the Pittsburgh Steelers after Faneca was drafted in 1998. He won one Super Bowl ring with the Steelers in 10 seasons with the team. He spent the last two years with the Jets. Faneca is a six-time Pro Bowl selection who's played in 190 career NFL games.

My Magic 8-Ball had him there last week. At least he got the coach and money he wanted. Too bad he doesn't have a defense or a QB. He is just one step behind the Jets on the way up and Cards on the way down because he got greedy.

The Steelers of the West continue on a roll. They get a new Steeler-color jersey and now Faneca.

What's next?

Gee - what a shocker. NOT.

Let the Cards have him - I'm glad the disgruntled fat ass isn't coming back here.
