OK. Enough time has passed so we can express ourselves with less emotion.
What is your wish for Holmes? |

I like the guy and if they had traded him to an NFC team, it would have allowed me to root for him more easily but as of now, I can't. My general thing is I don't root for ex-Steelers unless we have an equal or better person to replace him. (i.e. He doesn't hurt our team by leaving). For me to feel that way about Holmes both the #2 and #3 positions must be good...so if Wallace does well AND Sweed or Sanders can step up, I'll reconsider.

Don't really care anymore.
He was one of my favorite Steelers, but he's not a Steeler any longer and it's because of his own selfish attitude. He'd still be a Steeler if he did the right things. I don't wish him any harm or misfortune, but I don't really care how he does any longer either. |

when a guy makes one hell of a catch to win us our 6th ring its hard to hate him no matter what. I hope he plays well for the Jets, but not well against us.

Some people just have a hard time kicking drugs. Even though pot does not have physiological dependence,it has a psychological dependence for many.
I know Santonio will use pot again...maybe not this year but he will and when he does, if he gets caught, he will face a 1 year suspension (probably 2011 season). It's like if you catch guy with porn and tell him never to look again for the rest of his life and if he looks, you will be able to tell for a month..um trouble. It's too bad too because perhaps pot should be legal. It would clear a lot of spaces in jail and we could make some money from taxing it. My only concern would be road safety. I suppose they could develop a test like alcohol that quantifies it and then tell people they can't drive if they think they've reached a certain level. That would be tricky. I don't want baked people running into me on the road. Other than that, I'd be for legalizing it. If it were legal, Santonio Holmes would not be viewed as evil...instead he would be viewed as a Steeler. At the same time, although the confidentiality prevents anyone from telling us what the substance is, maybe it was something more serious like cocaine. |
