Tomlin, Hartings to be hosts for All Pro Dad event
Thursday, May 13, 2010 Pittsburgh Post-Gazette http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/10133/1057960-100.stm Registration is open for the All Pro Dad Father & Kids Experience, hosted by Steelers coach Mike Tomlin and former Steelers center Jeff Hartings from 9 a.m. to noon June 5 at the UPMC Sports Performance Complex. The Father & Kids Experience is designed to provide bonding opportunities for fathers and their children while they spend the morning running football-themed drills. "All Pro Dad is thankful for Coach Mike Tomlin who leads the charge for us in Pittsburgh," said Tony Dungy, national spokesman for All Pro Dad. "Mike is a father of three and understands the important balance between work and family, and he does a great job both on and off the field." Registration opens today online at AllProDad.com. Cost is $15 per family, which includes admission for one adult and up to four children. The event is recommended for children ages five and older. Advanced registration is required and early registration is encouraged as the event is expected to sell out. "We love seeing that this has become an annual outing for dads and kids," said Mark Merrill, founder and president of Family First, which is organizing the event. "Each year we bring new themes and insights into the program, so the format remains familiar, but the concepts are fresh for returning dads and kids." The All Pro Dad Father & Kids Experience is sponsored by Fed Ex, Degree Men, Bombardier, Giant Eagle, UPMC Sports Medicine, and media partners Comcast, 102.5 WDVE, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and KDKA-TV. Family First, a national non-profit organization based in Tampa, Fla., was launched in 1997 with the help of Dungy, former coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Indianapolis Colts. All Pro Dad features nearly 60 NFL players, coaches, and alumni who encourage men to be good fathers. Read more: http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/10133...#ixzz0nuX1yoDF |

If you've never been to an ALL PRO DAD event, you should definitely try to get out to this one. I was blessed to be able to help out at the STEELERS event a few years ago and it was amazing.
Don't miss an opportunity to spend a few hours with your kids, it can turn out to be an awesome day (MORE FOR YOU than for the kids).
