Default N. Korea: Retaliation for Ship Would Trigger War

ITS ON !!! LINK: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2010/...html?tag=stack

No. I have an old SEAL buddy that was stationed along the 38th parallel. He used to frequently snipe off N. Koreans threating the border. This kind of back and forth between the 2 nations has been going on since the war. Expect some sort of "mistake" by the South before too long as a tool for get back against the North...

Yep...I have a high school buddy (Airborn Ranger) that was stationed there. Some of the stuff he tells me, scary stuff. He's been shot at, shot back, and so on.

"The all-out war to be undertaken by us will be a sacred war involving the whole nation, all the people and the whole state"

The North also warned the South against any provocative acts near the Koreas' borders in the aftermath of the sinking, saying it would react with an "unlimited retaliatory blow, merciless strong physical blow."

My friend told me that if the north ever invaded it would take them all of about 15-20 minutes to get to Seoul. Theres a lot of shit that happens that nobody ever hears about.

I have done a tour of the DMZ when I was TDY there and if what your buddy says is true, it is going to be a really, really bloody 15-20 minutes for the North. The armament that we have up there is incredible.

Isn't the Korean War technically still ongoing? I remember watching something on the history, discovery, national geographic channels that stated South Korea never signed the treaty

A serial number on a torpedo fragment also was consistent with markings from a North Korean torpedo that South Korea obtained years earlier, Yoon said.

Why does the International Community continue to put up with this lunatic?

Kim Jong IL knows he did it.
We know he did it.
He knows we know he did it.

And yet he continues to posture and threaten "sacred war"---(is he spending too much time with the Taliban lately?)

Just like in the you tube video, the primary problem is that he knows beyond any shadow of a doubt that the U.N. is devoid of testicles.

Come on Indo, we can just take them to International Court and all will be settled

All then U.N. will do, just like in the cartoon, is write another revolution with absolutely no repercussions if the North breaks it, which they will

Yeah, it'll be bloody. He said that the sheer number the north would send would pretty much run em over.

He also told me that the north would send fighters over the border and do touch landings on the base before they could get planes scrambled and skedaddle back over.

Maybe he was just blowin smoke at me though.
