Has anyone seen the Quarterbacks they faced that year like Akili Smith, and other pretty crap qb's. Not one good one on the list.
Also that was one of the worst years for an AFC offense. **** you Baltimore the 2008 steelers defense was better. |

I accept no immiatations. Baltimore will always be second best in the AFC North at defenses

they faced some shitty running backs too. anytime they faced the likes of jerome bettis, eddie george, emmit smith they lost.

I also hated Ray Lewis, the younger version, is it just me or still to the day he pounces on the downed ball carrier just to get an assisted tackle to get more tackles to get to 1000, then he leaps and dances around like a ****ing twat as if he is so humble and great football player but yet stabbed someone.

Yes you are correct to point out the offence that they had.
When you cant score, and they know this they dont play to out score you. This makes it alot easier to hold a team down when they know they can win with one td. B.T OVERRATED! |

Can you name one top 15 offense the Ravens that season? Very few, How many Top 10 Quarterbacks did they face? None.
Quarterbacks & Season Ratings Week 1: Kordell Stewart (73.6) Week 2: Mark Brunell (84.0) Week 3: Jay Fiedler (74.5) Week 4: Akili Smith (52.8) Week 5: Doug Pederson (56.6) Week 6: Mark Brunell (84.0) Week 7: Brad Johnson (75.7) Week 8: Steve McNair (83.2) Week 9: Kordell Stewart (73.6) Week 10: Akili Smith (52.8) Week 11: Steve McNair (83.2) Week 12: Troy Aikman (64.3) Week 13: Doug Pederson (56.6) Week 14: BYE Week 15: Ryan Leaf (56.2) Week 16: Jake Plummer (66.0) Week 17: Vinny Testaverde (69.0) Week 18: Brian Griese (102.9) Week 19: Steve McNair (83.2) Week 20: Rich Gannon (92.4) Week 21: Kerry Collins (83.1) They faced no Elite Quarterbacks during the Regular Season, they faced just 3 top 15 offenses, 6 (3 were divisional rivals so 9 games) were ranked in the bottom 18-32. I'll give credit where it's dude and they were a good defense, there not a top 3 defense of all time (1. 76 Steelers, 2. 91 Eagles, 3.86 Bears) but there a top 10. They had it easy during the regular season, they effectively had 5 games with some of the pootest Quarterbacks to ever live. I'm not even going to post running games, they had about 5 top 15, and the others were really poo. Yards Per Play allowed. - 76 Steelers (3.8) - 08 Steelers (3.9) - 91 Eagles (3.9) - 86 Bears (4.1) - 00 Ravens (4.3) Yards per game allowed. (They wern't even ranked #1) - 91 Eagles (221.8) - 08 Steelers (237.2) - 76 Steelers (237.4) - 00 Ravens (247.9) - 86 Bears (258.1) Points per game allowed. (Probably the most overrated defensive stat of all time) - 76 Steelers (9.9) - 00 Ravens (10.3) - 86 Bears (11.7) - 08 Steelers (13.9) - 91 Eagles (15.2) Seriously, Saying the Bears allowing 11.7 points per game is so great, why arn't the 2000 Titans mentioned? They allowed just 238.3 yards per game and 11.9 points per game and 4.2 yards per play. that's better stats than the 86 Bears. |
