Default Where McNair?

Steve McNair is due a whopping $50 million bonus this year - along with a $9million base salary.

Rumors are that McNair is unwilling to rework the contract by much - where next for Steve McNair?

The Patriots didn't bother with swagger to start this NFL season; they went straight to defiant. Either you're one of them or you're about to get crushed.

Just a side note, McNair has been working with Young. As any OSU fan can probably tell you, Troy Smith's violation behavior during last spring was at a camp that was held by McNair that both he and Vince attended. Not exactly the same as grooming him on the sidelines but he has worked with him to an extent.

Its alot of money to pay for a mentor.

I think some team will pay good money for him - just not as much as he wants to stay with the Titans.

Alot of the time players wont take a pay-cut at their original team because of pride and machismo, but often end up taking one elsewhere.

Who's to say he wont end up in Detriot?

After watching McNair in the Pro Bowl -- yeah, I know, not really fair to judge him on that meaningless game -- I found myself asking two questions: What is McNair doing in the Pro Bowl; and, Why is he still playing? It's over for that guy. I've always liked McNair and it pains me to watch him stink ... unless the Titans are playing the Steelers.

It's about time the Titans move on and McNair retires. I thought the Titans should have started Volek for the 2005-2006 season.
