I know it's pre season, but he looks rather average so far....Hope he gets the wheels turning before game 1.

Decent Article! I agree Mendenhall looks average to me so far. I see Redman getting a little more playing time based on Preseason but the Regular season may be different.

mendenhall hasnt impressed me at all yet. he hasnt done anything to stand out like Forte from the bears or Matthews have. personally i would like to see Redman split carries with Mendy come regular season and see who can do better. we can go with the hotter hand each week. Redman has really impressed me the last 2 seasons during training camp and preseason

I would rather Mendenhall impress during the season than in pre season. He showed me what he could do last season. I'm confident he will be a beast this season. Only thing that worries me are the fumbles. I agree, Redman looks really good.

Mendy hasn't overwhelmed this preseason, but he's also only had 13 carries in 2 games. It's hard to get into a rhythm with only 6 carries a game.

I for one am not worried at all about the fumbles. He wasn't known as a fumbler at Illinois; in fact he didn't fumble once in college. He had 3 fumbles last year, which isn't really a lot. I'll take one fumble in the preseason to make him correct it.
