Default FS Ty Law? Pittsburgh Steelers?

I was surprised to see that this wasn't a thread yet. It's been speculated on ESPN radio over the last few days. I doubt this would happen (T. Law labels himself as a cover corner), but if Hope departs and w/ Law being from the area I think it could be a decent fit for a year, maybe two (not to mention what he'd offer in the locker room on how to keep winning). Also in regards to the FS position, he's not a hard hitter but I think Townsend could fill the role until we developed a more permanent player for the position. I like Hope but if he was to go to another team for say $500,000 or so more than what we'd offer him. I'd say "astala bah bye." He's expendible and there are plenty 'o options.

why not. in the past year ,ty was in pittsburgh in the offseason but he was too expensive.it's a great player (first in the interception this year) for a couple or one year he can help our dbs , he has experience for the young players.the real problem is to keep chris and ike so after why not!

this team can't afford to keep some of its key free agents now.. visa vi (ARE, maybe Chris Hope, etc.)

What makes anyone think we can obtain Ty Law?
and he's already established himself as a player that won't "play for less $$$"
otherwise he could have been a steeler last year.

interesting thought..
but just like the ideas of bringing Ducket in here or another running back WE DON'T NEED

not gonna happen

Too much $$$$. He would be a good signing though.

Guys Will have to accept paycuts. The Steelers need to also resign Troy. He is a FA in 2007
