Default The Steelers Biggest Rival?

Down at the bottom of the main page in this forum you'll see "Currently Active Users". Bellow that you'll see "Most users ever online was 462". Please note the date on which that occurred: "01-27-2005 at 02:42 PM." That's right, and who was your opponent that drew so many Steeler fans to this forum? Who was the opponent that got so many hard core football fans all worked up? The New England Patriots.

We'll be seeing you again real soon, if you're lucky.

I'm going to have to say at this point. The Bungles are our new biggest rival. They talk more than any other team in the league, and really get under my skin as a Steelers fan. There's no team I take more satisfaction in seeing go down to the black n' gold than the Bungles.

I have respect for the Patriots, but they're not a rival. And they don't p**s me off as a steelers fan the way those idiots from the queen city do

Their new fans of the game Faneca66, give them a break. They just started watching football again after fifteen years. Go easy with them.

Forgot to add. I would agree Cincy is our biggest rival. Between teams it's a rialry. Between fans it's hard to form a rivalry/hatred unlike with Cleveland and Pittsburgh fans, because we actually travel to watch our teams play. I tend to notice alot more Cleveland fans at Steeler/Brown games than Bengal fans at Bengal/Steeler games.

One thing I have gathered in my short time lurking around here is an umbridled hatred of the Ravens. I am surprised to not seem them mentioned yet. Is that because they haven't been worthy on the field as of late? Or do they still count as the Browns Team A or B?

It's strange HB. Your catching us at a time HB where the Bengals are actually starting to play professional football. Obviously the hatred will start growing as the years pass. As I've stated once before, the fans in Cincy don't make it easy though. They hardly ever show at Heinz compared to Brown and even Raven fans.

The two teams. The Ravens and Steelers, hate each other. The players have a legitimate hatred for each other. Players from each team have stated flat out they hate each other.

For the fans, I still believe it's Cleveland. We hate the team, we hate the fans and we hate the city.

Above is my opinion and what I have noticed at Heinz over the years.

83-Steelers-43 said it well... we definitely hated the Ravens back in 2000, and when there wasn't a Browns franchise our hatred was directed toward the team formerly known as the Browns... If most fans are like me they hate Ray Lewis and Brian Billick, but not necessarily the Ravens. Most of the hatred lies on the field and is between the players.

I personally hate the Bengals, but not near as much as I hate their sore loser fans. I live near Cincy and since the Steelers won the Superbowl the Ohio river has risen four feet due to all the tear shed. It is really pathetic and embarassing for the fanbase as a whole.

In my opinion our rival will always be the Browns...

Good point, i still hate them also. And still call them the Old Browns.
