I grew up near Cleveland. I went to both Catholic and public school. I wore my Steeler stuff in [B]both[B] places. If others didn't like it, too f'n bad.

Clevelstinks, you said the principal doesn't like you. YOUhaven't been strong enough. That principal should FEAR you. That principal works at your pleasure. He/she wants to act like a royal soverign over a realm. BS! School administrations and teachers work for the parents. They often forget it or don't realize it in the first place.

"Nobody likes Pittsburgh" around Cleveland? More f'n BS! Lots of people from Western Pennsylvania moved to NE Ohio in the late 1950s and early 1960s to work at the then-new Ford, GM and Chrysler plants. The Sears store at Chapel Hill Mall in Akron, Ohio had a Steeler display as big as - or bigger - than the Browns display. Hats, coats, trunks, pennants, shirts, you name it. Why? It was good business! The same reason the Youngstown TV stations quit showing the Browns and carried the Steelers, until Birdbrain Bernie joined the Brownstains in 1985. My three younger brothers were all born in Ohio and they are all diehard Steeler fans. My one brother who still lives there has a big "Home of a Steeler Fan" sign and a Steeler Flag in the front of his house.

If some teacher or school administrator ever got on my niece for wearing somehting that said "Steelers" on it, my brother - all 6'5" and 250 lbs - would be all over the teacher or administrator. The fear of God would soon be in that brain dead slug.

One good thing for your daughter to bring to Show 'n Tell - a picture of a road sign. Not any road sign, but the road sign over the westbound Pennsylvania Turnpike immediately before the New Stanton exit.

Interstate 76
Pittsburgh
Cleveland

(in that order - thus shall it ever be!)

CBS - Cleveland Browns Stink.

I have a pittsburgh steeler fan that goes to my church and he told me yesterday that wehn he came down form here(Memphis Tn) to go to the game against the browns he went to a bar in clevaland and he had on a steelers jersey and some guys told him they would jump him in the parking lot and take his jersey and burn it.Browns fans are losers I am glad james harrison body slammed that fan.We need to keep him until he retires from the steelers so he can body slam any other fans that came on the field during the game.

I used to go to Catholic school, and we had days like those too. We tolerated Browns fans at our school, so I think they should be courtious enough to do the same.

Unfortunately, the teacher and school have demonstrated some very POOR behavior. Your daughter and her friend sound like great young gals that are strong enough to withstand peer pressure. Sad that they have that opportunity in this way. Encourage her to develop that quality in all areas of her life and count this as one of those lessons practiced on some people with VERY small minds. Sounds like she'll handle it with a huge grin on her face! Be proud of her, mom.

I'm guessing from the lack of a story here that nothing happened.
