Titans DE William Hayes sits against Steelers
By TERESA M. WALKER, AP Sports Writer 12 minutes ago
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP)óTennessee defensive end William Hayes(notes) is missing a second straight game as the Titans give him one more week to heal his knee by deactivating him against Pittsburgh on Sunday.
The Steelers already had announced left tackle Max Starks(notes) (ankle) and nose tackle Casey Hampton(notes) (hamstring) would not play. Jonathan Scott(notes) will start for Starks with Chris Hoke(notes) starting in Hamptonís spot. The Steelers also activated defensive tackle Steve McLendon(notes) after cutting Byron Leftwich(notes) to provide depth on a day with the temperature predicted to reach 90 degrees.
Hayes started 11 games last season. He sprained his right knee during training camp. He practiced Friday and said he would be ready against the Giants if he didnít play against Pittsburgh.
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause and effect, but actually from a non-linear non-subjective viewpoint it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly timey wimey...stuff.
