I can relate. The Buick I drove was at one point rear ended by a F-350 dualie while we were stopped and he was doing 50mph. My whole fam was in the car and we all got mad whiplash. The best part was he ran (and got away with it!). The whole truck was crushed to an upside down V and the bumper all smashed in. But the frame held and you could see where it held on impact. One reason why I trust Buicks and say they are built like tanks. My dad also rear ended another car (I blame the bad breaks he had at the time). It was a beat up Ford Escort wagon and so the damage to that car was nothing the bumper just popped back to where it was. My dad had to get the grille replaced and a fender. My mom's old van christened the "ghetto van" was a 95 Ford Windstar. At one point it had a missing right mirror (but with the motor hanging by two wires inside the window), hanging rear bumper from getting rear ended on I-95 in delaware, a crack in the windsheild that went from the center of the bottom up and curved so it was in the center of the drivers vision, and 230,000 miles on it. It finally went when it blew a head gasket. I drove two cars into the ground in a year and a half driving both four hours a day 5 days a week. Sorry long rambling. Peace.
