Common non Steeler fans question

I've been asked by non Steeler fans this many times and I think I've got the answer.

Q: How come the Steelers and the browns don't have cheerleaders?

A: Steelers: We've got so many fans, we don't need 'em!
Browns: They're not good enough to have 'em!

Agree or disagree. I have nothing agaisn't cheerleaders, by the way. In fact, I used to be one myself. I just saying.

In my opinion, and I agree with the Rooney's on this one, but there is no place for cheerleaders in Steelers football. I think it takes away from the game. I don't like cheerleaders at games at all anymore. In high school our cheerleaders used to compete and would always act like people came to our games just to watch them. We weren't a bad team either, we made the playoffs my senior year (1999 Beaver Falls sholda beat Jeannette too).

Tickets are getting more and more expensive, my money is spent on the game. If I can hear the cheerleaders, then we must be losing. Heinz Field Rocks, Here We Go Steelers, sends chills up my spine. That does it for me. If we had them I probably wouldnt even notice.
My sister in law was a Atlanta Falcons Cheerleader for six seasons, Cleve cavs for one season, and most recently a Clippers. the practice she took me to was way better than the game. Although when the Steelers played Atlanta, she got us press passes, I have so many photos from that game. And she got me players tix in Pittsburgh.

nothing against the fine ladies with the poms but we dont need them to tell us when to cheer.

well said and besides when you have 65,000+ fans waving the terrible towel why have cheerleaders

Personally, I don't want cheerleaders. The girls during the tailgates and inside Heinz are fine with me. To be honest, when I watch other teams play, I don't even pay attention to the cheerleaders.

The Steelers don't need cheerleaders because they are worth watching. As much as I love watching an attractive woman, when it's football it's Steelers football. A true football fan don't need no glits or glamour. The Browns need cheerleaders because it gives the fans something to watch since nothing is happening between the lines.

Who needs pom poms when you have Terrible Towels. You come to Heinz Field to watch football....not acrobatics.....the Steelers make the other teams do enough of that anyway. Peace.
