Default Steelers-Ravens Predictions?

Ravens defense is way overrated, especially pass defense. #1 ranked pass D is more of a reflection of Seneca Wallace (seriously, Seneca Wallace?), Mark 'Check Down' Sanchez, and Carson Palmer than it is of the Ravens defense.

Batch proved he's still has it, and takes advantage of a banged up secondary. He hits Hines Ward for a TD, and Mike Wallace for a 40+ yard TD.

Flacco continues performing horribly against good teams. He'll take 3-4 sacks, 1 fumble and/or int.

Boldin will probably have a good game, maybe even 120+ yards. I doubt he scores though.

The Ravens running game depends solely on whether Rice plays and is healthy. If he's healthy, Baltimore will probably rush for 70-80 yards, and he'll score.

Either way, Steelers win and cover the spread.

I also go out on a limb and predict Ravens fans will complain about the officiating.

I don't understand why analysts are still on the Raven's dick. They were preseason superbowl favourites, so what? Come to face reality.

They barely beat the Jets and got so lucky Sanchez was still in preseason mode.

They blame the ref (no surprise) for their loss at Cinci, while Carson Palmer is playing below par even with the weapons he has.

The Browns gave them a run for their money. Who the hell is Hillis?

This week analysts mostly pick the Ravens over Steelers.

The Steelers held the Falcons to a measely nine points and the defense really showed, they also held Michael Turner for under 50.

The Titans were just blown away. Turnover frenzy and the resurgence of Polamalu. They held Johnson under 50 yards thanks to Timmons. Johnson said he was going to get 2,500 rushing yards this season.

Then their were the Bucs. They weren't much of a threat, but our offense flew in this game. Really showed what Wallace and Mendenhall made of.

And now analysts are going to laugh at us on our turf?!

The Ravens will get shot out of the sky.

Ok Clopp, lets keep this honest here ok. That Ravens Defense is Not Overrated, and the last 2 weeks they have been missing Mt Cody at DT. This week will be nothing like last week when the Browns ran all over that defense, I can promise you that. There may not be an Offensive TD in this game. I see alot of playing Field Position and Turnovers being Huge in this game. Mendenhall wont come close to 100 yards this week and Batch will not get away with some of those passes he did vs the Way Less than Ravens Defense. If he takes those chances sunday vs the Ravens he will have 4 INT's if Tomlin leaves him in long enough.
I say the Steelers will come out on the short end of the stick this go around in Heinz Field, but when Ben is back this game will be back to its normal Steelers-Ravens Battle.

I hope I am wrong but my guess is like this

Ravens 15

I think we win ugly. Ravens usually stop the run even though they struggled so far. I think Mendy could have an OK day. Maybe 80 yards or so.

Steelers now have momentum on the offensive side of the ball, esp rallying around the spark that Charlie Batch gave us. All that does is put confidence in our coaching staff to come up with a gameplan against the Ravens and let us play more offensivley than we did against Atlanta/Tennessee.

The Ravens have some holes on D, there's no question and I think Flacco can be our MVP this week. He strugggles against the kinds of defense's the Steelers run, who comes after you with heat and pressure to force quick and smart decisions. Flacco was harassed by the Cincy defense so I expect Flacco to force some balls into type windows without thinking.

Mendenhall is going to have a big game as well, as we all know, but it'll be Charlie Batch's performance that will open Mendenhall up to have a good game. Charlie isn't afraid to go deep, so maybe we can hit some double moves on the corners, safety's who will probably have their eyes in the backfield, OR they will respect Wallace's wheels, paving the way for Hines and Heath underneath. We can score some points on their D better so than how their O can score on our D even though they only gave up 1 touchdown to our 2. (Do the Browns and Jets--with that terrible offense in week 1-- count?)
