You could blame Jeff Reed. 2 long field goals on a tough field. But a guy who wants the big payday as a top 5 kicker should make at least 1 of those, right?

You could blame the defense for not holding on the last drive and even not holding Baltimore to a field goal on the early TD drive. The D was good today, but not dominant as it has been. The rush wasn't quite getting there today.

You could blame the offense. Baltimore has struggled stopping the run and we didn't exploit it. We had a couple of decent runs, but nothing consistent today. Batch was OK, not great. But he is our 4th option at QB. D set up the O twice and we moved the ball nowhere.

You could blame the coaching and playcalling. I agree with the 3 runs at the end of the game. You have to think your D can hold up by 4 points the way they had played. Take the 45 seconds off the clock with the 3rd down run. I thought Batch went deep a couple of times when we only needed a 5 or 6 yard pass.

You could blame Ben. If he wasn't suspended today, I think we put up a couple more scores.

I tend to go with all of the above. This was a winable game, and if any 1 of the above does it's job we get the win.

Not only that, but Flacco threw it nearly 40 times and still only mustered up only 250 yards passing and only 17 points with all of those mind numbing weapons.

I think the most telling sign that everyone is overlooking was our 3rd down efficiency. At one point, we were 0/9 on third downs. You don't think that gives Baltimore the edge and for the Ravens offense to go out there and have their way with a defense who's on the field all game? Gimmie a break. We fix it up later in season, then we can beat Balty, with Ben, by 3 touchdowns. Book it.
