I don't think we're there yet. I'd rank the Jets ahead of the Steelers at this time. The Steelers D has been slipping some the last couple of weeks.

Wow, with that loss, I expected us to drop atleast 3. Good to see experts not budging and realize the effort we managed with Dixon, and Charlie in the first 4 and was a minute away from beating a "powerhouse" in Baltimore.

Here's my rankings after week 4.

StainlessStill's Power Rankings:

The Kansas City Chiefs the LAST undefeated team in the entire NFL?! C'MON MAN! The slinky that is the beast of the NFL season continues.

My week 4 Power Rankings:

1. NY Jets (3): The Jets are one of the few teams that look all around consistent. Sanchez threw for a plethora of interceptions last season as the rookie struggled. This season? 0 interceptions. The offense is coming to life and we all know about a Rex Ryan defense, so the Jets are now playing complete football at the moment. Also 2-0 record in the AFC East with one up on New England.

2. Green Bay Packers (6): The Packers are struggling to win football games compared to their pre-season dominance. But the key to it all? They are WINNING. Winning tight games against a dangerous up-setting team like the Lions are one of the hardest games to cling onto in this league, and Green Bay bounced back after a tough loss on a short week on Monday Night. Could easily be 4-0. They will consistently get better.

3. New Orleans Saints (4): The Saints are not invincible like they once were one season ago. They are finding out REALLY quickly how tough it is to repeat, but just like the Packers, the Saints know how to win (esp with Drew Brees) and are finding ways to win tight football games. Could easily be undefeated as well if their young kicker doesn't miss a 20 some yard field goal. Run defense is a problem.

4. Pittsburgh Steelers (1): Even though Pittsburgh lost to arch rival Ravens, they were 1:00 away from being 4-0 and giving Ben Roethlisberger a 4-0 football team in the first month of the season. Credit Baltimore for getting the job done on that last heroic drive, but Pittsburgh, with their 4th string QB, played a tight game against a "powerhouse" in a rival of Baltimore and was one first down away from victory, but instead, snatched defeat in the jaws of victory. This team is now re-born with Roethlisberger back and could become the best team in the league soon.

5. Baltimore Ravens (10): Baltimore showed up in Pittsburgh and eeked our their annual close game and physical affair with the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field. Joe Flacco was calm and got rid of the football quick and guided his team in the final seconds for the game clincher, snatching victory in the jaws of defeat. They must get better in redzone efficiency since the Steelers stopped them 2 times in their redzone, and once on 4th and goal but Baltimore has weapons. They will battle the North with Pittsburgh the rest of the way.

6. Atlanta Falcons {8}: The Falcons had a scary game against a team searching for their first victory but good teams get the job done and that's exactly what stud receiver Roddy White did to put his team in position to win with that forced fumble on the interception return. Atlanta is up in the air at the moment and is a team that could either get better down the stretch or fail to remain consistent. They now have the slight edge in the NFC South. Lets see them hold onto it.

7. Indanapolis Colts (2): Peyton Manning did everything he could to sheriff his team back from the depths of comebacks but fell a little short and continues to struggle against a tough divisional game in Jacksonville, losing in the last seconds on a 58 yard field goal from kicker Josh Scobee. Still, the Colts hung in with major injuries across the board and had the lead late in the game. This team will always bounce back, but they are now sitting 0-2 in the division looking up at the Texans in the AFC South. They need to make up ground fast, which they are certainly capable of.

8. San Diego Chargers (N/A): Another team to crack back into the top 10 for other teams failures. The Chargers have lots of work to do in finding a way to win back to back games this season after a dominating performance. The jury is still out on them until they can answer the bell and go on a little win streak to build, but they are off to a good start beating up on the terrible Cardinals at home.

9. Houston Texans (9): The Texans played a close game to the Raiders, grabbed a late surging lead from benched running back Arian Fosters 80 yard touchdown run, but quickly squandered a lead to let Oakland back into the game by a 7 point margin before sealing the deal. The Texans are siting 3-1 in the AFC South and taking care of business even though it looked ugly at times, but the Colts have looked ugly at times as well and with Tennessee being upset by the Broncos, Houston is sitting better than everyone would of thunk in week 4.

10. New England Patriots (N/A): Tom Brady BARELY threw for 50 yards in the second half and the Patriots made it to 41 points in a weird and loopy shootout. Points didn't come from Randy Moss, Wes Welker, or Tom Brady. Points came from wild Special Teams play and that young defense converting interceptions into touchdowns. Brady and the offense looked sloppy and the defense still needs to find identity, but scoring that many points on special teams on the road to go 3-1 on the season should keep this team in the running against the Jets for the time being.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Next 5: Washington Redskins, Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bears, Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins

Despite the loss the latest power rankings appear to indicate the Steelers still qualify for a BCS bowl appearance

OTOH the Bengals appear headed to the Meineke Car Care Bowl
