Definitely, as did Engelland. Very impressed with them both so far. Comrie and Crosby were both on fire tonight too (shots wise), just couldn't get any past Russian Bob.

I think Malkin slept through the game, but his English is 100X better - so there's that trade-off.

He tried, but was getting tag teamed a lot. He'll do a lot better once Staal comes back. I think Comrie would be a better line mate for Crosby (which is where I believe he'll be going once Staal centers the 2nd line).

But yeah, he did seem to have an off night as well. As did Letang (who pretty much cost us the game...no surprise there though).

The Letang turnover was brutal and the penalty against Geno was bunk, especially since he was getting in control of the puck right in front of the Philly goalie. Who by the way played a pretty damn good game for his first NHL game. He was very poised and impressed me. Didn't seem nervous at all.

We had our chances, especially Crosby, but the puck just didn't bounce our way.

Maybe the new arena is jinxed?

BTW, why is it that Versus seems to always pick one or two commercials to play over and over again?

The Ovechkin locker laugh will now give me nightmares and the T.Ocho show sounds like one of the dumbest ideas a network ever came up with.

Sucks to lose the 1st one, but there's plenty more to be had.

We shelled the young goalie early, and had our chances the whole game, but not enough went in. He was good.

If we get the early lead, it's a different game. The crowd was ready to go.
