Default Ex-Steeler Staat Joins Marines

One time Steeler Jeremy Staat joined the Marines.

Staat played on those hideous Steelers teams in 98 and 99, and was a major contributor to our loss in 1999 when he jumped off sides against the Browns the year they beat us by one point. I remember he just never really did anything, and was probably one of the few 300 plus pound vegetarians on the planet.

Don?t know if anyone else remembers him.

The article features a good bit about Pat Tillman.

At any rate, here?s hoping for the best for him.

I remember him, He was from Arizona State. He was supposed to be a guy with alot of potential, but never turned out. Good luck to him and I commend him for joining the Marines.

Ditto that. I admire a guy who puts his money where his mouth is.

I remember him from the Arizona/OSU Rose Bowl back in 1998 or 99. There was so much talent on the field for that game, it's scary...

I wonder how much he weighs now because Marine corps bootcamp is rough.

Well I just found out on OS's thread that he graduated from bootcamp. I got to give him props for his size to go through that training is amazing.
