Default can someone answer ...

these questions for a fellow steeler fan in the UK looking to make the pilgrimage to steeler country ? he's asked these questions in another part of the forum , with out an answer , most likely because there's no traffic in that part of the board. i've never been to heinz field so i can't answer him....

Hello,

You gave me some great advice about planning my trip to Heinz Field from the UK in December. I'm just on-line now to buy 2 tickets in the 135 or 134 section. Would you recommend sitting as close to the Steelers bench, or would I be better sitting around row T for a better view of the field ?

Also, is Ticket City safe to buy from, or would Ticketmaster be better ?

Regards,

Simon

Ticket Master would be my choice, I've never heard of Ticket City.

Personally, I prefer sitting up high. Nothing worse than paying out the @$$ to find out you're in seats with a horrible view of the action. I usually go for upper balcony tickets when possible.

Rule of thumb:
For lower level seats, higher is better.
For upper level seats, lower is better.

In 134 or 135 if you want a good view of the game row T or even higher is better. If you're looking to get close to the action and players and don't care about seeing plays develop then lower is OK.

My favorite seats are the first 10-15 rows of the upper level between the 30's.
sections 509-512 and 533-536, rows A-Q. These are $86 face, which you'll never get them for. Also, if you get upper lever rows A-E then you walk down to your seats when you come out of the tunnel. 5 rows are down and about 32 rows up from the concourse.

Oh. Never used ticket city, although I think this board advertises it.
I know as a season ticket holder you can sell your tickets on the ticketmaster ticket exchange and it's 100% legit. Prices will be high but if they are in line with the other brokers I'd go with the exchange. They will email him his tickets and he'll just print them out. Everything's secure and guaranteed. You can also go the Stubhub route, which also has a guarantee.

Guys,

Thanks so much for the information and advice. Going on-line now to buy tickets. It should be a great experience for me, and more so for my son, as he won't know anything about it until 2 days before we fly out !

It's great to know there are so many helpful fans out there. Thanks especially to MasterOfPuppets.

i hope you guys enjoy yourselves . the weather in pittsburgh in december can be a bit harsh. i live about 130 miles south of pittsburgh and the weather is comparable. the last game i attended was in 1993 i think. (three rivers stadium) , the windchill , which the wind blew the whole day , was 25 degrees below zero .... keep that in mind while packing...

Wow, will pack some winter coats. It never gets that cold in our part of the UK. Just got the tickets from Ticketmaster. Section 134, row Q. Should be close enough for a view of the players without getting blocked from seeing the game. We're lucky in that there are 3 Steelers games being shown on UK TV between now and the Bengals game we are going to.

The season is looking good so far . . . . lets keep it up !
