Default Handpainted Tim Tebow football

Just finished this up this evening done in acrylic on a regulation size ncaa ball. Let me know what you think. Got the inspiration to try this from my friend Larry Klu one of the most outstanding sports artists I know. This is the first time I have painted since H.S. other than doing the custom figures. I plan to do some steelers in the future as well as take requests.

very cool. i did alot of painting in HS, and worked alot with portraits (in charcoal) afterwards. the likeness of the close up is real nice. the shading, depth, and highlights are really good as well.

im sure you have noticed his arm is bent at a physically impossible angle, but those things are easilly worked out.

painting or drawing in 2D on a 3D surface is quite a challenge, and this kicks ass for your 1st attempt.

cant wait to see more.

awesome appreciate the comments. About the arm this is actually the way the ref pic looked if because of the height of the shoulder pads the arm when raised up just appears to be coming out at an odd angle but I do see your point.
