Default our game lead late in game

you know if we convert on 3rd downs to keep the ball, control the clock helps maintain the lead and win the game by whatever margin we have. Turning the ball over and 3 and outs is piss poor, and the execution has to become better, its becoming a pattern we were 6-2 last yr.
Ben has to use Heath, Spath or Hines on 3rd and 5, 6 instead of trying to get Randel El, the ball, let's face it, Randle El is not the same guy from years ago, we have a better, faster reliable wr now and that's Wallace. Also using Moore for screen passes or swing passes out of the backfield is another option to use. I like Randle El, when he was there back in the Cowher days but his time has really come and gone and he is just insurance, he won't be with us next yr, I just hope we can keep the ball longer when we are ahead.

Default Re: our game lead late in game

well, one of the problems is that late in the 4th quarter when we get the ball, we run the same plays over and over and over w/no variance.
We could possibly be the most predictable offense in the 4th quarter in the entire NFL.
We either :
pass.....pass.....pass (which takes very little time off the clock)
or we run up the middle....run up the middle...run up the middle (ridiculously predictable), and we usually get stuffed because once we do it once, our opponents know its coming on the next play again. And again on the 3rd play.
Thats one of the reasons we can't keep the ball in the 4th quarter. Arians HAS to run some different plays in the same sequence of downs.

But wait I thought it was all on the defense for us blowing leads IMHO the offense deserves a lot of blame for us not finishing games strong. Let's hope they break out of their funk on Sunday night and go big against the Patriots.
