I think they tried him the past 2 off seasons, he's not a soccer kicker so he just isn't used to it. But atleast he can tackle, Reed is a very strong guy but he's a sissy when trying to make a tackle.

Sepulveda sucked tonight too. I wouldn't count on him being any better on kickoffs, if the coaches thought he was he'd be doing it already.

As for Reed, he's got 8 more games and possibly the playoffs to prove he still wants to be this team's kicker.Right now I'd say it aint looking too good.

His leg cant reach the endzones anymore, you have to get it at least 5 yards deep so ST can cover more ground.

He irritates me to no end. A 46 yarder should be money in that kind of weather. There wasn't any evidence of heavy winds blowing. He shanked it. As long as he has been playing he shouldn't miss one like that by so far. He seems to be cracking under the pressure of close games. We will lose more close games if he keeps it up.

What he said. There is exactly one kicker in the HoF, and the thought that Reed would make it two is, well... a deluded homerism.

As for Adam Vinatieri missing chip shots during his SB years with the Patriots, once again, no. He won Superbowl XXXVI with his leg, and that regular season he made all but one kick under 40 yards (but it was over 30 yards) including all of his kicks under 30. He missed exactly one kick under 30 yards his next SB season, 2003. And he was almost perfect the following season, 2004, missing only a few long kicks (over 40 yards).

Last night sealed the deal for me. Another miss, and MORE kickoff's booted to around the 15, allowing great field position......again. This is EVERY game. Let him 'try' field goals for the rest of the year but is there anyone on special teams that can kick the ball in the g** d**** end-zone?
He has turned into my most disliked Steeler player. This is getting ridiculous. This isn't just one kick. Its his JOB to kick to the other endzone.
