Why does anyone ever defend this tool? His kickoffs were once again absolutely pathetic and he is not kicking any better at Heinz Field than he is anywhere else. Time for a new kicker. You have to be money from 46 yards in the clutch when there is no wind blowing. He is not the only one to blame for making this game so close, but he surely didn't help.

Like I said, the years Adam Vinetiari had game winnning superbowl field goals, he had terrible field goal misses... He actually missed 20 something yard field goals!... In 03 he missed 10 field goals.
but he's perfect in the offseason.

Not saying to Keep Reed.. just showing he could be a hall of fame kicker and we let him go.

It sucks that he's not as clutch anymore, but nobody made any FGs in that end tonight.

Reed did however make a 52 (or 53?) yarder and a 46 yarder from the other end, while the Bengals kicker missed both of his. Could have been worse.

His first kick off was really high, the bengals fumbled around the 20, but the Steelers had the returner around the 15 but couldn't tackle him. Reed does this a lot but the special teams players can't tackle worth a damn.

Patriots also got kickoff specialists for Vinatieri, but I doubt the Steelers will do that... especially with 4 defensive linemen and 7 offensiveline men... almost had to put Spaeth or Miller on the offensive line.

His kickoffs were brutall tonight. He made that 53 yarder but there wasn't really any pressure on him. When it came down to it, when we needed him to ice the game - he disappointed.. again.
