My dad still calls them gumbands. He also worked at Isaly's for a long time and told me all about chipped ham. He's told me many stories from workin there and how they started the Klondike bar. He said though that Isaly's no longer exists and that it went out of business and the Klondike bar is all that is left of what was once a fairly large chain all over western PA, eastern Ohio, and some in WV. It's sad, I could really go for some chipped ham. Peace.

When you've been to the Regatta more than once

When you shop for grocceries at the Strip every week

When you're stuck out of town for the 4th of July and are majorly dissapointed by the fireworks display

When you go out of town and people tell you you have an accent

Shane Corson, guy at least went around the country and spoke out against the use of steroids. I guess it's better than hiding behind your kids every chance you get and pretending you just had a "sudden" stroke.

We always called it "chippy chopped ham". Imagine the people's faces the 1st time I asked for that at the deli in Ohio! Most of these people have never heard of having pork & saurkraut for New Year's! Thanks for the memories!...I need to make a trip home!

Pork and sauerkraut for New Year's is supposed to bring good luck. You're from Johnstown, PA, huh?
