Because people dont know any better. Down here is Baltimore all people know are apt. complexes and crappy town house neighborhoods. They dont take any pride on where they are from. If you look at areas like Pittsburgh and the rest of central Pa, and I hate to say it but Philly, people take pride in what area they are from. People that grow up in these little cardboard cut out communities dont know what its like to put your lively hood into not only your home but your area to make it better for everyone, not just yourself.
