Their problem is that they think that they can make something out of nothing. Bad offensive coaches won't call a good game. Bad offensive linemen won't magically start blocking better with age, particularly when they are being coached poorly. Bad cornerbacks don't suddenly learn how to shut down receivers and/or intercept passes.
But Pittsburgh will inevitably "stay the course" and hope for the best. Sometimes I wish we were a bit more cutthroat. I hate Belicheat and the Pats but you can be damned sure that their organization would at least be trying to fix the problem if they put up a performance like we did last night. |
